55th Film Fare awards - Sandalwood AwardsChennai’s Nehru Indoor Stadium saw the south indian film fraternities gather together on Saturday, to applause each other’s achievements in the year gone by.

Aa Dinagalu won the Best Kannada Film award which was received by Sayed Aman & M.S. Ravinra;
it also won the Best Director award for Chaitanya.
Duniya brought the Best Actor award for Vijay and Best Actress award for Rashmi.
The Best Music award went to Mano Murthy for his work in Milana.
Manohar V. won the Best Lyrics award for Pallakki. The Best Playback Singer (Male) award went to Sonu Nigam for Milana and the Best Playback (Female) award went to Nandita for her work in Duniya.
